The post I did this morning but then was deleted and I hoped Mom would see it all day

Sorry Mom! I just wanted to make a space for us all to tell you how much we love you.
Our parents are a couple of hotties! This is one of my favorite pictures of Mom.
Today in sacrament meeting I thought about how a Mom doesn't have to DO anything in order to be a great Mom. My best memories of Mom are how she made me FEEL as a child, warm, loved, secure, taken care of in a clean environment with gospel principles all around us.
We were so lucky to have you as a Mom, especially considering the example you were shown in your youth of motherhood. Thanks for changing and taking awesome care of us! Surely the angels will herald your name for the sacrifice and effort you put forth for us.
Now everyone that reads this, make a nice comment about our Mom! Or I'll wrestle you down on the driveway and try to kiss you! Just ask John Clason!

I'm not family but I'll comment. I remember years and years ago I was at a Relief Society function with my Mom (why? I do not know), your Mom was in the kitchen washing dishes and my mom remarked to me that Sis Hassell was a jewel. I don't know why that has stuck with me but from what I have learned about her I agree :)

Aunt Mitch! You are a wonderful mom and a dear friend to my mom - I love your family and am so thrilled to call you family. Love You!

P.S. Marla - the kissing of John...hilarious

I've been trying to type this out all day, but deadlines and a 7.5 week old infant seemed to thwart me at every turn.

Jacque's comment reminded me of something about Mom I hadn't thought about before. I live in what is essentially a conglomeration of all the wards we attended in Medford, meaning a lot of the people who I go to church with now have known me most of my life.

There are two things I want to say about this. First, I never heard Mom (or Dad) say an unkind thing about any of these people while we were growing up. In fact, she had so many kind and positive things to say about them that I still have those associations. (For example: I think about how much Mom admires Sister Knips every time I get to see her.) That positivity has been a great gift to me.

Second, Mom (and Dad) is (are) good people and I get the honor of hearing people say kind things about them all the time. Shocking, I know, but it's true.

I guess one thing is obvious, only the women love Mom. Cross all the boys off the celestial list.
