First of all, Patrice is experiencing some effects from the surgery that are normal and expected, and will resolve themselves, but still uncomfortable for her. We are so grateful for prayers on her behalf, and we're praying, too, for her speedy and comfortable recovery.

Mom (and the rest of us) just can't believe how well she's doing. She has had a great day, although she is concerned for Patrice's comfort. We can't say enough how grateful we are for the success of the surgery, and for the outpouring of support.

Mom's bed's scale wasn't working (she needs to be weighed daily as a routine monitor for rejection), so she had to be moved onto a new bed. It was quite the production!

More of Jerilyn & Grace's creative genius: Banners for Mom & Patrice with all of Mom's 30 grandkids on them. These are a huge hit!

Uncle Scott (another of Mom & Patrice's brothers) stopped by just in time for the Jeopardy show-down. Dad claims that he bet it all in final Jeopardy and beat us all. Show-off.

I hope you feel better, Trice. Heroes shouldn't be in pain!
