I wish you could hear the conversation between the wide-awake sisters tonight. Such amazing women.

Once Mom was settled into her room tonight, she got curious about what in the world Jerilyn and I had been tweeting and blogging all day.  So we showed her.  In particular, she was very touched by all of the support and comments left, and grateful to have so many people cheering for her.

Then we started wondering just how many people are reading up on all of this, and we thought it would be fun to find out and let her know!

That's where you come in.

If you're reading this, will you kindly leave a comment that we can share with Mom and Patrice?  Neither of them would ask for this attention, but I know the support is a strength to them.

Yay, me first! Sick babies FTW! I was grateful for the chance to fast, as I felt very clearheaded all day, and you know that's a miracle.

I am always very grateful that you are my Mother, and am so grateful that you are doing well. I thought today, that no matter how shortly lived your parents' marriage was, it produced three amazing people that are always an example to me.

I am feeling so happy tonight that we will all have a chance to pester each other in August at our very well-planned reunion.

Patrice, thank you for all you have done. We have no words to express our gratitude for your gift (you might be grateful for that). Here's to a quick healing. Love, Marla

Go Bruce! We're very happy that things have gone well, and that Trina has allowed us in North Carolina to share in the experience. It is also fun to see pictures of my favorite PICU nurse. MIchele, you and Patrice are in my prayers.

Count me! Count me! Kudos to Bruce, Michele, and Patrice for working so well together! Thanks for the updates - indexing thanks you to as it was my excuse to hang around the computer all day. And thanks for the fast incentive - I "multitasked" and got some valuable insights for my family too! Also, you should have heard the buzz when the news that Michele was doing well went around the temple last night! Many thanks were given to the Lord, I'm sure. Well, may this day be a day of healing and joy, and I can't wait to see you again, Michele!
Lots of Love, Kim

My thoughts and prayers have been with you two. Thanks Trina for posting so diligently and humorously. Having gone through this with my mother in-law I know all the emotions you go through. So pleased to hear things are progressing so wonderfully. You will continue to be in my prayers as you progress in the weeks to come.

We have been tracking Bruce and its guardians for some time. Even before he came out of the closet! BTW, isn't Bruce a unique name for a lady?
We have not me Michelle, but we do kbow Patty (and Luis). May all blessings and good fortunes continue. As will our prayers for you all. And the families.

I was up all night before and after your surgery. So glad things went and are going well. Amazing!
I'm so glad I married into this amazing family with stories and examples that make me laugh and cry. Good luck healing- looking forward to visiting Ashland in late summer!!!

(ok- nevermind that my days are your nights and I slept all through the surgery and didn't get the updates until all at once, I was still thinking and worried and praying for you!)

I was fasting and praying for you yesterday Aunt Michele and am so glad that things went well for you and Patrice. Now that the healing can begin it almost sounds like you're on vacation -- trips out of town, sleeping on air mattresses, sharing a room with your sister, breakfast in bed?...

Jerilyn and Trina, you guys were great with the updates and I was following them throughout the day. I love my dear witty cousins!

I'm so happy for the Hassell clan today, and so grateful for Patrice who did such an amazingly courageous and giving deed for her sister.

Count this non-family person in on keeping up with Michele's progress. Am just thrilled that Bruce feels so comfortable in his/her new home that it started its job right away without a hitch. :-D

Loads of love and virtual hugs to Michele and the rest of the family as well.

So glad everything is going so well for both Michele and Patrice. We wish you both a quick recovery.

Our family was glued to the updates all day yesterday while we fasted. I think that is the first time our kids have fasted for over 24 hours, but they were troopers and did a great job. Although Ashlin did tell me toward the start of the fast that it might be a good idea to tie up the refrigerator. But, she made it without sneaking any snacks, even though there was no tied up fridge.

Now we are anxious for the time when Michele returns home to 4 very relieved and happy grandchildren and a very grateful son and daughter-in-law.
